Unforgettable Moments: A 14-year-old and 2-year-old Cattle Dogs' Journey

This week is going to be just a few fun photo moments with our pets. Maya is a our 14 year old Red Cattle dog x with what? we don't really know. She was adopted from a local shelter when she was a 1 year old. Again we aren't completely sure, as she didn't come with any history. She was a miracle that just appeared for us.

Archie is a 2 year old pure Blue Cattle dog (Bluey) as smart and intelligent as they come. He came to us from his mum as a pup.

Both dogs are respectful of each other. Both teach other bad habits. Did someone say 'you can't teach an old dog new tricks?' I beg to differ. Maya has learnt a lot of 'tricks' from Archie. The 'best' one so far is when we make a move towards the fridge to get the yogurt out. It doesn't matter where Archie is, he appears as silently as a ghost for his share of the booty. It has to be his most favourite thing in the world. Maya has learnt to hang on to his coat tails and get some for herself each time too.

Wonder why some good habits don't get passed on. Maya is a sensible and independent girl and Archie is intelligent and loving boy. That pretty much sums the two up.

Here are some moments of Maya and Archie moments over the past 5 years. They both love their walks. Some of the days now, Maya shows signs of slowing down. But come rain, hail or sunshine the two walks for the two dogs, are a necessary part of the day.
